Your Strategy

Your Strategy(s) will comprise of a detailed plan on how you will reach your ideal audience and clients with your message/offers. There are many elements to take into consideration when building your plan. First of all how will your ideal customers find you? Let’s talk about the most common ways a customer could potentially find you and then what you would need in materials and tools for you to construct your ideal marketing plan.

  • Advertisement (i.e Facebook, Google Adsense, Listing, Other Social Media Channels, etc.)
  • Website/Blog (i.e this is your store front/stage/platform to educate, entertain and earn income)
  • Lead Generation Page (i.e. an opt-in where your ideal customer landed from clicking on your advertisement offer)
  • Email Campaign (i.e customers opt-in to a permissions list to be marketed to)
  • Sales Page (i.e. customers redirected from a link they clicked on from a blog post, advertisement, email, etc.)
  • Affiliate Links (i.e customers who clicked on an affiliate offer you shared with one of your JV Partners)

Each of these elements (tools) are ways your customer could have heard your message and wanted to know more about what you have to offer. You must know what value or offer you are bringing to your ideal customer before you use any of the tools above. If you didn’t know what you had to offer, it would like having an empty house or store front with nothing for them to come to buy.

If you don’t have a website/blog site, I recommend you have at least a three-four page site that offers an about, services, contact, and a lead generation (opt-in page) for a freeium that your customer can download that will solve an immediate problem they may have. For example, as a contractor, I will give a “Top 10 Interview Questions for Hiring A Home Services Contractor”that I created here.

Lead Generation Pages aka. opt-in pages can be created on your own website/blog site or third-party sites like Lead Pages or Click Funnels.

Email Campaign is where you are asking for permission to get your ideal customer’s name and email in exchange to give them the information they are requesting. These are known as CRM’s  or Customer Relationship Marketing Software. Examples of CRM’s are Mail Chimp, Convert Kit, InfusionSoft, etc.

Sales Pages are going to be either pages you create within your own website/blog site or an external-third party site where you are selling your products elsewhere like Shopify, Etsy, Amazon store front, etc. or if you are creating your own course at a place like teachable. Here are some courses of what I created at teachable here.

And when it comes to affiliate links, use affiliated products and services that will complement what you are already offering. For example, as a real estate agent, you will have clients who will need to have repairs done or staging suggested to give them an advantaged for presenting their home in the best light. Use companies/products you believe in and have affiliate programs you can opt into as an additional revenue stream.

These are just some of the ways you can begin thinking about how to strategize when building your marketing plan. Do you need more personal help? If so, learn more here.
