Led By Peace?

Peace Quote ~ GandhiToday’s reflections on #50daysto50 is about knowing God’s leading. If you are wondering what I am referring to in today’s reflection, I have been posting something everyday at wendytwine.com/50daysto50 when it comes to reflections of nearly 50 years.

When it comes to today’s reflection, I have been thinking of that verse in Acts 17:28. It says that we live and move and have our being in God and we are his offspring. Have you noticed how your off spring will have very similar traits to that of your own? or may even they may behave a certain way and they weren’t even taught it. How about the saying “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree?”

Well as I have been noticing more of my granddaughter acting out traits so much like her father, my son. It amazes me how much is “in our being” from our genetics. If we are God’s offspring and we are growing up in him, we will see more of his being reflecting in us.

So as I stated before, I may seem to ramble but stay with me. As we grow up in Christ, we may live and move in a way that may be very contrary to the way the world says you are to move or even worse the way the religious leaders of our day may say to live and move and yet its going against what you are being led to do.

The important thing is to be led by peace according to Colossians 3:15. Peace is our umpire. We are also to be led with joy according to Isaiah 55:12. If peace and joy are not apart of your leading, then I question if that is  a path you are to be walking on.

Areas that can rob our peace and joy can be when we are under spiritual attack, disobedience or experience a great test or challenge. But if you know in your soul, that you are being led in a certain direction, God will give you that underlining peace and strength to know you are on his path. Otherwise you will experience an unrest, a red flag, warning signal of some sort to say this isn’t right and I need to get back onto the path of peace and joy.
